HIRING FOR TRAVEL ASSOCIATE- CHENNAI
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Associate with Amadeus experience to join our travel operations team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in using the Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS) for reservations, ticketing, reissuance, cancellations, and itinerary management.
This role requires excellent communication skills, accuracy in handling customer bookings, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Use Amadeus GDS to book flights, process cancellations, reissues, and modifications.
Handle PNR creation, fare quoting, ticket issuance, and revalidation.
Manage and resolve customer queries via email, chat, or phone related to travel bookings.
Ensure accurate application of airline fare rules, taxes, and penalties.
Monitor queues and ensure timely action on bookings, schedule changes, or special requests.
Collaborate with internal teams or external suppliers (e.g., airlines, hotels) to resolve booking issues.
Maintain high standards of service quality and customer satisfaction.
Keep up-to-date with airline policies, travel restrictions, and GDS updates.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with Amadeus GDS in a travel agency, airline, or corporate travel setting.
Strong knowledge of airline booking procedures, fare construction, and ticketing rules.
Excellent communication skills (spoken and written).
Familiarity with international and domestic itineraries, including multi-sector and group bookings.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
