Job Title: Travel and Expense Operations Lead ASP In this role, you will:
Support day-to-day delivery of T&E operations within the ASP region, ensuring consistency with global standards and governance requirements, participate in regular reviews of system configuration, and workflows to ensure alignment with HSBCs policies and the evolving needs of the business
Source goods and services, working with colleagues and suppliers, to drive commercial value, Purchase and pay for goods and services, as well as colleague expenses, Manage corporate travel bookings
Contribute to regional reporting, identifying operational trends and supporting initiatives to improve efficiency and compliance, Provide operational support to ASP employees to ensure policy understanding and process compliance
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior management, business units, HR, Finance and External Suppliers, Co-ordinate global communications with internal colleagues, including finance, procurement, HR, and operational teams
Responsible for supporting the effective delivery of Travel & Expense (T&E) operations across the ASP region, ensuring alignment with global policies, processes, and systems. The role ensures alignment with the global supplier agreements and service standards, while balancing cost efficiency, compliance, sustainability, and traveler satisfaction.
Act as a point of contact between regional T&E teams, global stakeholders and other key functions, promoting collaboration and operational alignment, Lead the global communications strategy for T&E, responsible for preparing clear, consistent communications to support T&E procedures, process updates and change initiatives
Build positive working relationships with internal colleagues, including finance, procurement, HR and operational teams in support of the T&E program, Support the consistent delivery of T& E processes across the ASP region, ensuring alignment with global policy, regulatory requirements, and system standards
Contribute to efforts aimed at streamlining processes, reducing operational complexity, and improving the end-user experience whilst maintaining robust controls
To be successful you will:
Strong written and verbal communications skills, excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to engage across all levels and functions
Strong understanding of T&E opeational processes and governance, ability to identify and address process inefficiencies through data analysis and reporting
Skilled in supporting change management initiatives, Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining up to date documentation and process materials
Ability to work independently while contributing to a globally aligned team, Operates within a complex, highly matrixed organisations with interactions across global, regional and local teams
Works closely with multiple stakeholder groups across the business lines and geographies, The T&E environment is subject to ongoing system enhancements, policy updates, audit requirements and evolving business needs
Operates within a strong governance and regulatory framework, while strategic direction is provided by the Head of Travel & Events and Regional Leads, the role holder is expected to operate with a high level of autonomy in managing communications, and co-ordinating cross regional activities
Oversee implementation of global programs, tools and processes within the region, tailoring for local market requirements where necessary.
