We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused
Travel Agent
to assist clients with their travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, tours, and transportation. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating seamless and enjoyable travel experiences for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Consult with clients to determine their travel needs, preferences, and budgets.
Research and plan customized travel itineraries, including flights, accommodations, tours, and ground transportation.
Provide information on travel destinations, cultures, weather, visa requirements, and local attractions.
Book and confirm travel arrangements through online booking systems and suppliers.
Handle travel documentation such as tickets, confirmations, and travel insurance.
Stay up to date on travel restrictions, policies, and promotions.
Resolve travel issues, cancellations, or schedule changes promptly and professionally.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a travel agent or in a similar role.
Proficiency with travel booking systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, or similar).
Strong knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to handle last-minute changes and problem-solve under pressure.
High school diploma required; a degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
Certification from IATA, ASTA, or other travel industry organizations is a plus.
