Trauma Scrubber / Surgical Scrub Technician

Job Summary

The Trauma Scrubber is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and managing sterile surgical instruments and supplies during trauma and emergency surgical procedures. This role requires speed, precision, and strict adherence to sterile technique to support surgeons and ensure patient safety in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and arrange sterile surgical instruments, trays, and supplies for trauma and emergency surgeries Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures Anticipate the needs of surgeons and surgical team during operations Pass instruments, sponges, sutures, and supplies accurately and efficiently Perform surgical counts (instruments, sponges, needles) before, during, and after procedures Assist with draping and positioning patients for surgery Handle specimens according to hospital policy and sterile protocol Clean, organize, and restock instruments and supplies after procedures Follow infection control, safety, and hospital policies at all times Respond quickly to emergency trauma cases, including on-call or rapid-response situations

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and trauma procedures Excellent sterile technique and infection control practices Ability to work calmly and efficiently in high-stress situations Strong attention to detail and organization Effective communication and teamwork skills Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle surgical equipment

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
