The Roadway Worker in Charge plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of roadway operations. This position involves overseeing the work of crew members, coordinating activities on-site, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and community support, with the ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of roadway work crews to ensure efficient operations.
Implement safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to safety guidelines.
Conduct regular inspections of work sites to assess conditions and make necessary adjustments.
Provide training and support to crew members on best practices for roadway maintenance and safety.
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any incidents that occur on-site.
Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents, utilizing basic life support skills when necessary.
Qualifications
Previous experience in home & community care is preferred.
Basic life support certification is required.
Experience in patient care or hospital settings is a plus.
Familiarity with critical care transport procedures is advantageous.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
