The Transport Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day transport operations, ensuring smooth coordination of employee transportation, vehicle deployment, driver management, route planning, compliance, and timely issue resolution. The role requires strong coordination skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to handle operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities1. Daily Transport Operations
Monitor daily transport activities for pickups and drops as per shift schedules.
Deploy vehicles according to manpower requirements.
Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and supervisors to ensure on-time movement.
2. Vehicle & Driver Management
Maintain vehicle rosters, route plans, and trip sheets.
Ensure all drivers follow company rules, safety standards, and trip protocols.
Track driver attendance, shift timings, and behavior issues.
3. Route Planning & Optimization
Plan efficient routes for cost optimization.
Ensure alternate routes during traffic, diversions, or emergency situations.
Manage last-minute changes like address updates or vehicle swaps.
4. Safety & Compliance
Ensure all vehicles meet compliance requirements (RC, insurance, PUC, fitness).
Monitor vehicle hygiene, GPS tracking, and safety guidelines.
Conduct periodic audits for vehicles and drivers.
5. Vendor & Client Coordination
Coordinate with transport vendors for vehicle availability and escalations.
Communicate regularly with clients/end-users to resolve issues.
Maintain strong relationships with site managers and operations teams.
6. Issue Handling & Escalation
Address transport-related issues promptly (delays, breakdowns, mismatch, no-shows).
Provide timely updates to management and client stakeholders.
Maintain incident reports and follow corrective actions.
7. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly transport reports.
Track trip data, fuel usage, extra kilometers, and attendance.
Maintain documentation related to compliance, audits, and billing support.
Skills & QualificationsRequired Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of local routes and traffic conditions

Basic MS Excel, MIS reporting, and email communication

Education & Experience
Graduate / Diploma (preferred)
1-5 years of experience in transport operations / logistics / fleet management
Experience in corporate employee transportation is an added advantage
