Role Overview



We are seeking a responsible, experienced, and safety-focused

Transport Manager

to oversee the school's transportation operations, ensuring safe, punctual, and efficient movement of students and staff.

Key Responsibilities



1. Transport Operations Management



Plan, organize, and manage daily school transport operations. Prepare and optimize bus routes, schedules, and pick-up/drop points. Ensure timely and safe transportation of students and staff.

2. Safety & Compliance



Ensure all transport operations comply with CBSE, RTO, and local authority regulations. Implement and monitor safety protocols, including attendance registers, GPS, CCTV (if applicable), and speed governors. Conduct regular safety drills and inspections.

3. Fleet & Maintenance Management



Oversee maintenance, servicing, and cleanliness of all school vehicles. Maintain records of vehicle fitness certificates, insurance, permits, and pollution certificates. Coordinate with mechanics and service vendors for repairs and AMCs.

4. Driver & Staff Management



Recruit, train, and supervise drivers, conductors, and attendants. Ensure drivers follow traffic rules, safety norms, and school policies. Prepare duty rosters, attendance, leave records, and performance monitoring.

5. Parent & School Coordination



Address transport-related queries and concerns from parents. Communicate route changes, delays, or emergencies promptly. Coordinate with school administration and security teams.

6. Documentation & Reporting



Maintain detailed transport records, route maps, and student lists. Prepare reports on transport operations, safety checks, and incidents. Support inspections and audits related to transport facilities.

Qualifications & Eligibility



Graduate in any discipline; diploma in transport/logistics preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in transport or fleet management, preferably in a school or institution. Strong knowledge of road safety norms and RTO regulations. Experience in managing drivers and large vehicle fleets.

Strong organizational and planning skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability. Good communication and coordination skills. Safety-conscious mindset and attention to detail. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
