Vehicle Maintenance & Safety
Ensure regular maintenance, servicing, and cleanliness of all school vehicles.
Maintain up-to-date documentation: insurance, fitness certificates, pollution checks, etc.
Conduct regular safety checks and ensure availability of fire extinguishers, first aid kits, etc.
Ensure GPS, CCTV, speed governors, and safety tools are functioning properly.

Driver and Attendant Management
Supervise hiring, training, and performance of drivers and bus attendants.
Maintain rosters, duty assignments, and attendance records.
Ensure staff follow discipline, safety procedures, and hygiene standards.
4.
Student Safety & Discipline
Monitor student behavior in buses through attendants and driver feedback.
Ensure proper boarding and deboarding processes at all stops.
Address any behavioral or safety issues promptly.
5.
Fee Follow-Up and Collection Coordination
Maintain a list of students availing transport services along with route and fee details.
Coordinate with the accounts department to monitor fee payment status.
Send reminders or notices to parents regarding pending or overdue transport fees.
Follow up with parents through calls, messages, or emails for fee collection.
Ensure transport access is regulated based on fee payment policy (as per school rules).
Provide monthly/quarterly reports on fee collection and outstanding dues.
6.
Communication & Coordination
Act as the point of contact for parents regarding transport-related concerns.
Provide route changes or delay information to parents in a timely manner.
Coordinate with school management and admin for route approvals and incident reporting.
7.
Emergency Management
Handle emergencies such as vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or health issues during transit.
Maintain emergency contact lists and ensure proper communication channels.
Train staff for emergency response protocols.
8.
Record Keeping and Reporting
Maintain detailed records of:
Bus routes and stops
Vehicle maintenance logs
Staff duty rosters
Student transport lists
Transport fee payment status
Submit weekly/monthly reports to school management regarding transport operations and fee status.
9.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure adherence to local transport authority guidelines and school transport rules.
Stay updated with new transport regulations and implement them as needed.
10.
Technology Management
Manage GPS tracking systems and ensure access is given to concerned parents and staff.
Use school transport software or Excel sheets to manage operations and fee tracking.
Generate digital reports and alerts for fee dues and route efficiency.
