Job Description

To oversee and manage the schools transport operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely transportation of students and staff. The Transport Manager will be responsible for planning routes, monitoring fleet maintenance, managing drivers and attendants, and ensuring compliance with all statutory and school safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and monitor daily school transport operations. Design and optimize bus routes for safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of students and staff. Supervise, train, and manage drivers and bus attendants. Monitor vehicle fitness, fuel consumption, and preventive maintenance schedules. Ensure compliance with RTO and government regulations, including permits, licenses, and insurance. Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety drills with students and staff. Handle transport-related queries, complaints, and emergencies in a professional manner. Maintain accurate records of transport operations, including logs, attendance, and maintenance reports. Coordinate with school administration and parents for smooth communication and problem resolution.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent knowledge of transport operations and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in route planning and fleet management. Strong problem-solving and crisis management abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Transport Management Systems).
