Key responsibilities

Staff and Vehicle Management:

Supervise, schedule, and direct drivers and other transportation staff. Ensure drivers have up-to-date qualifications and training. Manage vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

Logistics and Operations:

Plan and organize efficient transportation routes and schedules. Coordinate shipments and deliveries to ensure timely arrival. Oversee the loading and unloading of goods.

Budget and Compliance:

Manage transportation budgets, oversee expenses, and negotiate with carriers. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of all transportation-related activities.

Strategy and Improvement:

Develop and implement transportation strategies. Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to optimize operations.
