The Transport Management Executive is responsible for managing daily transport operations, routing, driver coordination, vehicle utilization, documentation, and ensuring safe and timely movement of goods. The role focuses on efficient fleet management, cost control, compliance, and seamless coordination with internal teams and transport vendors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Transport Operations
Plan and manage inbound and outbound transport schedules.
Ensure on-time dispatch and delivery to customers, distributors, and branches.
Monitor trips through GPS tracking and manage route deviations or delays.
Coordinate with warehouse teams for load planning and dispatch readiness.
2. Driver & Fleet Management
Assign trips and track driver performance, discipline, and attendance.
Maintain records for vehicle fitness, permits, insurance, and PUC.
Coordinate for vehicle service, maintenance, and breakdown handling.
Monitor fuel usage, reduce pilferage, and ensure optimal utilization.
3. Vendor Management
Coordinate with transport vendors, ensure vehicle availability as per requirement.
Compare and negotiate freight rates to control costs.
Verify vendor bills, trip sheets, and supporting documents.
4. Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and verify LR, e-way bills, delivery challans, gate passes, PODs, etc.
Ensure compliance with RTO norms, safety rules, and company policies.
Maintain accurate trip reports, logbooks, and transport MIS.
5. Cost & Performance Monitoring
Track transport KPIs (cost per km, km/litre, idle time, TAT).
Identify areas for cost reduction and route optimization.
Analyse transport expenses and support management with MIS reporting.
6. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with sales, warehouse, production, and customer service teams.
Provide accurate and timely delivery updates to internal teams and customers.
Escalate and resolve transport-related issues quickly.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of transport operations & vehicle routing.
Hands-on experience with GPS tracking systems / TMS software.
Good communication and driver-handling skills.
Knowledge of transport documentation and compliance.
Ability to prepare MIS reports and handle pressure situations.
Problem-solving and analytical skills. Qualification
Any Graduate (Preferred: Supply Chain / Commerce).
2-5 years experience in transport or fleet management.
Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, or warehouse industry preferred

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
