Job Description

A transport coordinator plans, organizes, and monitors the transportation of goods, people, and products. They work with carriers, drivers, and logistics teams to ensure that shipments arrive on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Plan and organize

: Create transportation schedules and routes

Coordinate

: Work with drivers, carriers, and logistics teams

Monitor

: Track shipments and monitor drivers using GPS

Optimize

: Find efficient routes and reduce costs

Ensure compliance

: Follow transportation regulations and quality control standards

Resolve issues

: Troubleshoot and resolve safety, service, and operational issues

Communicate

: Inform customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders

Manage claims

: Handle damage and loss claims
