Chettinad Super Speciality Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate
Transplant Coordinator
to manage and coordinate all activities related to organ transplantation. The role involves close coordination with patients, donors, clinicians, transplant teams, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth, ethical, and compliant transplant processes.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate pre-transplant, transplant, and post-transplant activities
Act as a liaison between patients, donors, transplant surgeons, and hospital departments
Ensure compliance with
THOTA / NOTTO / TNOS
guidelines and statutory requirements
Handle all transplant-related documentation, consent forms, and legal approvals
Coordinate organ retrieval, allocation, transportation, and transplantation processes
Counsel patients and donor families regarding transplant procedures
Maintain accurate records, reports, and registers related to transplant cases
Coordinate with ICU, OT, laboratories, and external agencies
Participate in audits, inspections, and transplant committee meetings
Ensure confidentiality and ethical practices at all times
Educational Qualification
Degree in Life Sciences / Nursing / Allied Health Sciences
1 to 5 years of experience as a Transplant Coordinator in a multi-specialty / super speciality hospital
Prior experience in organ donation and transplantation is preferred
Skills Required
Strong knowledge of transplant laws, protocols, and procedures
Excellent communication, coordination, and counseling skills
Ability to handle sensitive and critical situations with empathy
Good documentation and reporting skills
Willingness to work on-call / in shifts as required
