Job description \xe2\x80\x93 duties and responsibilities

Transfer Pricing Accountant \xe2\x80\x93 The role is responsible for the assisting and supporting the team members within the Transfer Pricing Accounting Group. This role sits within the central TP team based with the Centre of Excellence (CoE) based in Bangalore, India. The role is a part of the CoE which manages the central global functions that support the 3 main divisions with the organization \xe2\x80\x93 D&A, Capital Markets & Post Trade. The team currently supports over 100+ entities and accounts for over $6bn value of transactions.

This role requires the candidate to have experience of working in an accounting & finance environment. An understanding of intercompany processes and/or Transfer pricing concepts within a large global organization will be an advantage.

The role reports to the Assistant Manager.

The key activities for the role are as follows:

  • Prepare & post the accounting entries to ensure that all TP calculations are recorded accurately in the general ledger and all supporting documentations are attached.
  • Prepare payment requests for TP invoices after consulting with Treasury to understand the cash requirements of the entities.
  • Create Journals to reflect the payments made by Treasury in relation to TP invoices.
  • Perform open item management on TP invoices paid on a timely basis to mitigate any foreign risk.
  • Provide support and documentation for local audits.
  • Process TP statutory adjustment journals provided by entity controller in the General Ledger
  • Manage low-risk entities, monthly TP results to ensure numbers reported are in alignment with group and local transfer pricing practices.
  • Assess and Process any Statutory Adjustments through the Transfer Pricing Model for the low-risk entities and issue updated TP calculations to the controller community.
  • Initiate and own the Transfer Pricing Documentation for the Legal entities assigned/owned by you.
  • Ensure all activities are done within the agreed timelines and global calendar with utmost accuracy.
Department\xe2\x80\x99s role

The Centre of Excellence is one of two centers based in Bangalore, India and Colombo, Sri Lanka. Providing the finance support and processing needs for LSEG Globally. Activities include supplier invoice processing and payment, employee expenses, cash management, Treasury Operations, Intergroup accounting, financial and Statutory accounting, management reporting, local compliance, and fixed asset responsibilities.

Person specification \xe2\x80\x93 required skills and education.

Key attributes for this role are:
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in General Accounting, transfer pricing/international tax or related fields.
  • Bachelor\'s degree/Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and data interpretation.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Sound judgment and ability to make informed decisions in complex transfer pricing scenarios.
  • Proficiency in using financial software, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of SOX & IFRS will be an advantage.
  • Understanding of end-to-end accounting process.
  • Proven ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Comfortable with working autonomously.
  • Strong work ethic.
