The Senior Training Specialist is a key player in the development, coordination, execution, and documentation of comprehensive training programs designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of Flowserve's internal and external customers. This role demands exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage in technical discussions with diverse audiences, ensuring that training is both informative and impactful. The Senior Training Specialist will also be responsible for the creation and maintenance of instructional materials, which may include technical theory, practical demonstrations (hands-on training), and visual presentations.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Content Development:
Create, revise, and facilitate web-based training, instructor-led classroom training, and virtual training programs. Act as a subject matter expert in developing course materials and content relevant to the field of expertise.
Program Management:
Oversee all training metrics, desired course outcomes, evaluations, and feedback. Establish and implement processes and methodologies to ensure the effectiveness and continuous improvement of Flowserve's training programs.
Trainer Coordination:
Collaborate with other trainers and subject matter experts to ensure consistency and quality in training delivery. Facilitate communication and scheduling among trainers to optimize training resources.
Material Maintenance:
Regularly update existing training materials and equipment to ensure relevance and accuracy, adapting to new models, processes, and software updates.
Validation and Testing:
Conduct regular validation testing of workshop activities to ensure training effectiveness and alignment with current industry standards.
Customer Engagement:
Build strong relationships with customers through effective face-to-face and telephone interactions, maintaining a confident and positive demeanor.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel up to 15-20% of the time for training sessions and customer engagements.
Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned to support the training function including coordinate the logistics of training sessions, including scheduling trainers, securing training facilities, and ensuring the availability of necessary materials and equipment.

Flowserve Knowledge:
Familiarity with Flowserve products, services, and corporate culture.
Software Competency:
Proficient in using PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and other digital collaboration tools.
Industry Experience:
Possess relevant industry experience, particularly in valve technology or related fields.
Professionalism:
Exhibit enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a commitment to delivering high-quality instructional content with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Communication Skills:
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong public speaking abilities.
Team-Oriented Approach:

Self-Management:
Ability to work independently with a high degree of self-management, making informed decisions regarding priorities and tasks.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with 5-7 years of experience in training or a related area.
