The trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality theoretical and practical training to students, ensuring they gain employable skills in industrial stitching, apparel construction, machine handling, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct theory and practical training sessions on Sewing Machine Operation as per NSDC/QP standards.
Train candidates in cutting, stitching, garment construction, finishing, and machine maintenance.
Demonstrate safe and efficient use of industrial sewing machines and tools.
Prepare daily lesson plans, training materials, assessments, and progress reports.
Track student attendance, performance, and skill development.
Ensure training quality and compliance with NSDC guidelines and documentation.
Support placement activities by preparing students for industry requirements.
Maintain discipline, workshop hygiene, and equipment upkeep.
Eligibility & Qualification
Minimum
12th pass
OR
ITI/Certificate/Diploma
in Sewing, Tailoring, Garment Construction, Fashion Technology, or related field.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience
as a Sewing Machine Operator, Tailor, or Trainer (preferred).
Knowledge of industrial machines (Juki, Jack, Overlock, Flatlock, etc.).
Ability to deliver both theory and practical sessions.
Good communication and classroom management skills.
NSDC Trainer/Assessor certification is an added advantage.
