The Trainer - Logistics (Warehouse Associate) is responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and practical training to rural youth under the DDU-GKY program, aligned with approved Qualification Packs (QPs) and National Occupational Standards (NOS) of the Logistics Sector Skill Council (LSC). The trainer ensures trainees acquire employable skills, industry-relevant knowledge, and workplace readiness.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery
Deliver
theory and practical training
as per DDU-GKY and LSC-approved curriculum for Warehouse Associate QPs
Conduct
hands-on demonstrations
on warehouse operations, material handling, inventory management, and safety practices
Use
participatory training methods
, including role plays, case studies, simulations, and practical exercises
Curriculum & Compliance
Follow
SSCs, NSDC, and DDU-GKY guidelines
strictly
Prepare
lesson plans, session plans, and training schedules
Ensure compliance with
course hours, attendance, and assessment norms
Assessment & Evaluation
Conduct
continuous assessments
, mock tests, and practice sessions
Prepare candidates for
third-party assessments and certifications
Identify learning gaps and provide remedial training
Trainee Management
Maintain
daily attendance, batch records, and trainee performance data
Counsel trainees on
career paths, workplace behavior, and employability skills
Motivate trainees to complete the course and accept placements
Placement & Industry Exposure
Support
on-the-job training (OJT)
, internships, and industry visits
Coordinate with placement teams to ensure job readiness
Provide
post-placement tracking support
when required
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain training documentation as per
DDU-GKY MIS requirements
Submit periodic reports to the Project Manager / Centre Head
Assist during
monitoring visits, audits, and inspections
Safety & Discipline
Ensure adherence to
health, safety, and hygiene standards
in training labs
Promote
workplace discipline, punctuality, and professional conduct
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of
warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics processes
Ability to train
youth from rural backgrounds
Good communication and presentation skills
Basic computer knowledge (MIS, MS Office)
Strong interpersonal and motivational skills
Educational Qualification
Graduate / Diploma in
Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related fields
(OR)
Minimum
10+2 with relevant industry experience
(as per SSC norms)
Experience
2-5 years
of experience in
warehouse / logistics operations
1+ year training or mentoring experience
preferred
Certified Trainer / Assessor under
Logistics Sector Skill Council (LSC)
preferred
Certification (Preferred)
SSC-approved Trainer Certification (LSC)
ToT (Training of Trainers) certification as per NSDC guidelines
