Job Description

The laboratory technologist is responsible to verify the doctor's recommendation and collects the samples for testing. Responsible to ensure that all the investigations are done in time, abnormal findings are verified by the Pathologist, Senior Biochemist and Microbiologist, and the results are dispatched at the earliest. Responsible to ensure that all records are maintained properly and updated. Responsible for the disposal of wastes is done under the supervision of Lab-in-Charge as per the waste management system. Maintain critical value, recall and TAT register. BSU-All register Collect and analyze body fluids, tissues and other substances to determine normal or abnormal findings. You will operate sophisticated equipment and instruments to identify the results. Work in harmony with other colleagues in the division and also in the department so as to maintain and improve quality in performance and output. Avoid mistakes, if at all any error happens try to identify them in time, take corrective and preventive action. At the times of ambiguity, seek help from a colleague preferably a Senior Staff. The laboratory Technologist is responsible to ensure that all machines are serviced periodically and calibrations are done daily. The laboratory Technologist is responsible to ensure that the stock register is maintained properly and checked by the Purchase Manager. Participate in QC both internal and externals Any other duties assigned by the management from time to time.
