Job Description

• Assist in the setup and operation of tablet coating machines (e.g., Gansons, Neocota, Bosch, Glatt).
• Follow Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR) and SOPs for coating operations.
• Monitor key coating parameters like:
• Pan speed
• Inlet/outlet temperature
• Spray rate and atomization
• Air flow
• Bed temperature and gun distance
• Verify and handle materials such as:
• Tablet cores
• Coating solutions/suspensions
• Solvents and excipients
• Prepare and filter coating solutions as per the approved formula and procedure.

Monitor coated tablets for:

• Uniformity
• Weight gain
• Color and surface finish
• Defects like orange peel, sticking, picking, roughness

Coordinate with QA/IPQA for in-process sampling and inspection.

• Perform CIP (Clean-in-Place) or manual cleaning as per SOPs.
• Ensure line clearance is taken before and after batch operations.
• Maintain equipment cleaning logs and area clearance records.
• Accurately record all activities in:
• BMRs
• Logbooks
• Checklists
• Report deviations, breakdowns, and abnormal observations.
• Adhere to cGMP, GDP, and safety standards.
• Use appropriate PPE.
• Participate in audits, training, and quality reviews.
