Develop shop-floor-ready glass processing operators with strong fundamentals in
safety, quality, and machine discipline
. This role is designed to convert technically qualified trainees into dependable operators for high-precision glass processing lines.
MACHINES & PROCESSES (EXPOSURE BASED ON ALLOCATION)
Glass Cutting Line (Manual / CNC)
Edge Polishing / Grinding Machines
Tempering Furnace (Flat / Bend)
Lamination Line (PVB)
Drilling / CNC Processing Machines
Washing & Handling Systems
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Production Support
Assist senior operators in running assigned glass processing machines.
Load, unload, and handle glass sheets safely using proper lifting and handling techniques.
Follow job cards, cutting lists, and production schedules without deviation.
Support changeovers, size adjustments, and basic machine setting under supervision.
2. Safety & Glass Handling (Non-Negotiable)
Mandatory PPE usage at all times (gloves, shoes, goggles, cut-resistant gear).
Follow safe glass handling practices to prevent breakage and injuries.
Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents immediately.
3. Quality Awareness
Learn glass quality parameters: scratches, edge defects, distortion, roller wave, inclusions, bubbles, delamination, etc.
Assist in visual inspection at different stages of processing.
Segregate rejected glass and update supervisor on quality issues.
4. Machine & Process Learning
Understand machine parameters such as temperature, speed, pressure, cycle time, and cooling.
Learn furnace loading patterns, edge finish requirements, and lamination sequences.
Observe and document process deviations and corrective actions.
5. Maintenance & Housekeeping
Assist in daily machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance activities.
Ensure rollers, belts, and worktables are clean and damage-free.
Maintain 5S standards in the work area.
6. Reporting & Coordination
Support production and rejection reporting as instructed.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch teams during shifts.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ATTITUDE
Essential
Basic mechanical / electrical knowledge from ITI / DME / DEE.
Willingness to work in shifts and high-temperature environments (tempering area).
Strong respect for SOPs and factory discipline.
Preferred
Any exposure to glass, fabrication, or manufacturing units.
Ability to read basic drawings and job cards.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
