Duties

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the smooth operation of the store, including:

Assisting customers with inquiries and providing outstanding customer service Conducting product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and drive sales Managing cash handling processes, including cashiering and basic math calculations Stocking shelves and merchandising products to maintain an appealing shopping environment Utilizing POS systems for transactions and inventory management Supporting supervisors in daily operations and contributing to team goals Engaging in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities

Skills

The ideal candidate will possess a mix of essential skills that will contribute to their success in this role, including:

Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse customer base Experience in retail sales, preferably within a grocery store environment Knowledge of retail math and basic math skills for accurate transactions Familiarity with merchandising techniques and stocking procedures Proficiency in phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone Previous supervising experience is advantageous but not required
