Develop annual and periodic trade marketing plans aligned with overall business and brand objectives.
Plan promotional calendars, pricing strategies, and trade investment frameworks across channels.
Build and manage joint business plans with key accounts such as modern trade partners, salons, and beauty retailers.
Support new product launches and category expansion through structured trade plans.
2. Channel & Shopper Execution
Ensure effective execution of in-store activations, POSM deployment, displays, sampling programs, and demonstrations.
Drive adherence to planograms and brand visibility standards across priority outlets.
Coordinate with vendors and field teams for timely and quality execution.
Monitor on-ground execution and suggest improvements where required.
3. Sales Performance & Monitoring
Work closely with the Sales team to track sell-in and sell-out performance against plans.
Monitor SKU-wise and category-wise performance to identify opportunities or corrective actions.
Prepare and share periodic reports on retailer, channel, and campaign performance.
Support sales teams with insights and recommendations to improve performance.
4. Promotional Calendar & Campaign Management
Plan and manage trade promotions including seasonal, festive, and new-launch campaigns.
Coordinate internal approvals and ensure timely execution of promotional activities.
Track promotion effectiveness and support data-driven improvements.
Manage and control promotional budgets in line with approved plans.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Brand, Sales, Digital, Category, Finance, and Supply Chain teams for seamless execution.
Enable internal teams, distributors, and partners through training and communication on trade programs.
Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure product availability during promotions and campaigns.
Act as a bridge between strategy and execution teams.
6. Market, Competitor & Shopper Insights
Track competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and market movements.
Analyse shopper behaviour and channel trends to identify growth opportunities.
Provide actionable insights to refine trade strategies and execution approaches.
Support management with market intelligence and improvement recommendations.
Candidate ProfileEducation
MBA / PGDM in Marketing or equivalent qualification.
Experience
3-8+ years of experience in Trade Marketing, preferably in FMCG, Cosmetics, Beauty, or related consumer-driven industries.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of trade and distribution channels (GT, MT, salons, e-commerce).
Experience in trade planning, activation, and execution.
Strong analytical and Excel skills.
Ability to interpret sales and market data for decision-making.
Good negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong execution orientation and attention to detail.
Good communication and presentation abilities
