What to expect:

The JP Morgan Fund Accounting Team manages the production and review of the NAV and other activities that leads to the correct valuation of the mutual fund clients. This Fund Accounting Team take direct responsibility for the production, review and delivery of the activities related to Regulatory requirements and client reporting along with other activities. This role involves participation in the production and review from a detailed and quality perspective of both NAV impacting activities and regulatory reports.

Job Responsibilities:

We\'re looking for highly-driven individuals with an interest in working in financial services and at JPMorgan Chase. Your roles & responsibilities will include:

• Review of cash and asset breaks reconciliation between accounting/custody and ensure standard commentary easily comprehended by all internal stakeholders and client.
• Review of day to day activities in accordance of SOPs and within agreed client deadlines & SLA\'s. Audit and resource planning with internal parties and for peak cycles. Ongoing analysis of client accounting records and escalation, where appropriate, of any potential issues identified Identify and correct misstatements within the accounting, ability to identify and escalate potential audit findings.
• Able to resolve the team queries & act as a reference point for junior team members on technical, accounting and audit related matters. Liaise with partner sites for external deliveries and communicate status effectively and in a timely manner.
• Interaction with stakeholders to respond to any accounting related queries that may arise. Recognize and act on opportunities to improve processes including developing and making recommendations for change and encourage the team to come with ideas for efficiency.
• To ensure all the risk and control checks are adhered to and follow all required checklists and SOPS, ensure they are up to date at any given point.
• Liaise with OCM (internal control) team on any issues that arise that need to be reviewed.
• To manage team\'s Objective setting, Performance review and providing ongoing feedback for the team. To work with local and global management team as and when required, providing timely updates and MIS
• To understand flow of information between accounting and custody systems, perform root-cause analysis of breaks, submit workflow or process redesign changes, follow-up with stakeholders or technology partners till closure to eliminate breaks from the root.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

• Experience in managing people, completion of performance reviews and setting objectives. Be able to demonstrate strong management skills and ability to build key internal relationships across locations.
• Strong attention to detail in review of documents and analytical review capabilities in relation to Fund Accounting numbers & reporting.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of all primary US Regulations, Mutual Funds and NAV.
• Be able to implement change, seek efficiencies and manage initiatives along with your daily workload. Be risk, control and procedure oriented.
• Have analytical & prioritization skills and be capable of making judgments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

About your qualifications:

• The candidate will have 7+ years\' experience in a Fund Accounting or Financial Reporting and/or a good understanding of financial products and should have worked extensively in such areas with also experience in managing a team of 3-5 people.
• Post graduate with major in Finance/Accounting will be added value
