Job Description

The Tower Lead - P2P will be responsible for leading end-to-end Procure-to-Pay operations for the automotive manufacturing OEM client group within the Shared Services organization. The role will ensure operational excellence, process compliance, and service delivery against agreed SLAs, while driving continuous improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities * Operations Management

• Oversee the complete P2P cycle, including vendor onboarding, purchase requisition & purchase order processing, goods receipt, invoice processing, and payments.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, credit notes, and debit notes in alignment with contractual terms.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics to meet or exceed SLAs and KPIs.
• Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of P2P associates/specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Act as the key point of contact for client stakeholders, procurement, and plant teams for P2P-related queries and escalations.
• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely resolution of disputes, discrepancies, and payment issues.
• Compliance & Controls

• Ensure adherence to SOX controls, internal audit requirements, and corporate policies.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Continuous Improvement & Automation

• Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities using Lean, Six Sigma, and automation tools (RPA, OCR, ERP enhancements).
• Drive initiatives to optimize working capital and enhance payment efficiency.
• Systems & Reporting

• Work closely with IT/ERP teams to resolve system-related issues in SAP/Oracle or equivalent ERP platforms.
• Prepare and review periodic MIS, performance dashboards, and process compliance reports.

Qualifications & Experience

• Chartered Accountant / MBA Finance / Equivalent with 12-15 years of relevant P2P experience, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within Shared Services or GBS.
• Strong domain expertise in P2P processes, preferably in manufacturing or automotive OEM sector.
• Proven track record of managing large teams and complex vendor portfolios.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems; exposure to automation tools preferred.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance, tax regulations (GST, TDS), and vendor financing models.
