Role Overview:-
The Tour Package Head will lead the tour operations team and oversee the planning, pricing, execution, and quality of domestic & international tour packages. This role involves strategic planning, vendor management, performance monitoring, and training team members to ensure smooth operations and maximum revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities:-
Team Leadership & Operations
Lead, train & manage the tour package team for day-to-day operations.
Allocate tasks, monitor performance and ensure timely delivery of services.
Set sales targets for the team and ensure achievement on a monthly/quarterly basis.
Package Planning & Sales
Develop & design attractive travel packages based on market demand and seasonality.
Approve itineraries, quotations, costing and final proposals before sharing with clients.
Expand the product portfolio by adding new destinations, experiences & travel categories.
Vendor & Client Coordination
Maintain relationships with hotels, DMCs, transport providers and travel partners.
Negotiate better rates, deals and commissions to improve profit margins.
Handle key or VIP clients directly when required to ensure satisfaction.
Revenue & Business Development
Analyze package costing, pricing strategy and competition to maximize profitability.
Identify new markets, promotional plans, seasonal campaigns and group tour opportunities.
Manage MIS reporting related to sales, revenue, customer feedback & vendor performance.
Quality Control & Issue Management
Ensure service quality at every stage of the customer journey.
Resolve escalated client complaints, service gaps or operational challenges.
Maintain compliance with company policies and travel regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:-
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Travel Management or related field.
Minimum
4-7 years experience
in travel industry (with at least 1-2 years in a senior role).
Strong knowledge of domestic & international destinations, hotel categories & travel requirements.
Expertise in costing, sales strategy, negotiation & vendor management.
Proficiency in MS Office, email communication & CRM handling.
Excellent leadership, communication & problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle pressure, deadlines & customer expectations professionally.
