We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented
Tour Consultant
to join our travel agency team. The Tour Consultant will be responsible for creating and selling customized travel packages and tours, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and service providers. The ideal candidate will have strong destination knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for travel and tourism.
Tour Planning & Sales
Design, plan, and sell domestic and international tour packages based on client preferences and budgets.
Offer detailed advice on destinations, transportation, accommodation, and activities.
Promote and sell packaged or customized tours via email, phone, walk-ins, and online platforms.
Handle both group and FIT (Free Independent Traveler) itineraries.
Client Interaction
Respond to inquiries professionally and promptly.
Gather client requirements and preferences to tailor-fit travel solutions.
Explain travel documents, insurance, health and safety guidelines, and visa requirements.
Liaison & Coordination
Coordinate with hotels, airlines, tour operators, and local guides.
Confirm bookings, issue vouchers, and handle amendments or cancellations.
Negotiate rates and secure competitive pricing from suppliers.
Administrative Tasks
Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and itineraries.
Generate sales reports and performance analysis.
Assist with travel documentation preparation and invoicing.
Marketing Support
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote tour packages through social media, newsletters, or travel fairs.
Keep up to date with trends in tourism and competitor offerings.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a travel consultancy or tour operations role.
Proficiency in reservation systems (e.g., Galileo, Amadeus) and MS Office.
Strong geographical and cultural knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
