Job Description

Role Summary:

We are looking for a TOOLING DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER to manage, issue, and maintain a cutting tools for production. The candidate will ensure proper availability of tools, maintain records, and coordinate with CAM, Production, and Purchase teams for smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Issue and receive cutting tools, gauges, and consumables as per production requirements.
Maintain proper stock levels and update inventory records regularly.
Monitor tool life and coordinate for tool regrinding or replacement.
Ensure tools are cleaned, labelled, and stored in designated locations.
Track tool movement and ensure timely return from production or suppliers.
Prepare tool request lists and coordinate with the Purchase/CAM team when new tools are required.
Support production by ensuring the right tools are available for each job setup.
Ensure compliance with safety and 5S standards in the tool crib area.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 1-2 years experience in tool crib / tooling / machining environment.
Basic understanding of cutting tools (end mills, inserts, drills, etc.) and gauges.
Knowledge of tool coding, tool identification, and measuring instruments.
Ability to use basic computer applications for inventory entry (Excel/ERP).
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work systematically and maintain accurate records.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in CNC machining environment.
Knowledge of tool management systems or ERP.
Familiarity with tool regrinding and tool life management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
