For Tool Room Supervisor ( Diploma Tool & Die Maker )
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of injection molds to ensure optimal performance, minimal downtime, and product quality. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient production operations in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventive maintenance on as per the maintenance schedule.
Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds ensuring they are production-ready.
Troubleshoot and repair mold issues such as flash, short shots, burn marks, or damage to cavities/cores.
Maintain mold documentation including maintenance logs, repair records, and tooling history.
Operate tool room equipment such as surface grinders, lathes, and mills to fabricate or repair components.
Ensure molds are stored properly and safely.
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to resolve tooling issues quickly.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: High school diploma or technical certificate in Tool & Die, Mold Making, or related field.
Experience:
2-5 years of experience in Tools .
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of design, tool steels, and polishing techniques.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team management skills.
