Tool Room Supervisor - Job Responsibilities

Tool Room Dai Maker,/ Sheet Metal work & Molds

Supervise daily operations of the tool room and ensure smooth workflow Plan, assign, and monitor work of tool makers, machinists, and technicians Ensure timely manufacturing, maintenance, and repair of tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures Interpret engineering drawings, tool designs, and process sheets accurately Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering departments to meet production schedules Ensure tools are manufactured and maintained as per quality standards and specifications Monitor tool life, tool performance, and initiate corrective actions when required Manage preventive and breakdown maintenance of tools and equipment Ensure proper use, storage, and traceability of tools and measuring instruments Maintain tool room inventory, spares, and consumables; raise purchase requisitions when needed Implement cost control, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with safety standards, 5S, and housekeeping practices Train, guide, and evaluate tool room staff and new trainees Maintain records related to tool history, maintenance logs, and work orders Support audits (ISO, IATF, internal/external) and ensure documentation compliance
