Key Responsibilities:

Diploma in Tool & Die Making (NTTF/GTTC/TRTC) or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute. - Compulsory

Design and Manufacture precision press tools, repair & maintenance, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges as per engineering specifications and requirements. Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and blueprints to develop and machine components with the right tolerances. Should be conversant with Fits and Tolerances, GD&T. Hand on experience in handling all Tool room machinery like lathe, drilling, milling and grinding machines. Exposure to give the .dxf files for WEDM/EDM /CNC milling/ Heat treatment process /Material knowledge is a must. Knowledge of standard elements and press tool-related calculations, surface finish, and metrology for inspection are desired. To Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions on tool-related issues affecting production. Should be a good team player to collaborate with design and production teams to improve tooling designs and performance. Maintain documentation of tool designs, repairs, modifications, and inventory. Follow safety procedures, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance schedules.

Qualifications and Skills:

Diploma in Tool & Die Making (NTTF/GTTC/TRTC) or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute. - Compulsory

Minimum 10 years of experience in a precision tool room environment. Strong knowledge of tool-making principles, materials, machining, and heat treatment. Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam) is preferred. Should be able to plan for CAPEX & OPEX annually and maintain records Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and manual dexterity skills. Should be a good leader to train the team and guide them to achieve desired outcomes.
