Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Tooling Inventory & Issue/Return Control

Maintain a complete and up-to-date tooling database (list of all tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, etc.). Issue tools/equipment to production or maintenance staff, and record which person has taken what tool; upon return, check and log the tool condition Track consumables, spare parts, inserts, gauges etc.; monitor stock levels and reorder when needed to avoid shortages.

Maintenance, Repair & Calibration of Tools

Inspect tools, dies, moulds, jigs, fixtures for wear, damage or degradation. If necessary, calibrate, repair or send for refurbishing. Lubricate, service, or re-sharpen tools and equipment. Mark tools/instruments properly (identification), maintain "tool history" records if applicable. Perform preventive maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns during production.

Support for Production & New Tooling / Tool Modification

Support production teams by ensuring the right tools/gauges are available when needed. Documentation, Records & Tool-room Housekeeping

Maintain records of tools issued, returned, repaired, serviced -- including tool history, maintenance logs, usage, wear & tear. Ensure proper labeling / identification of all tooling. Safety, Compliance & Support to Other Teams

Enforce correct use of tools and jig/fixture safety protocols; ensure safe handling, storage and return of tools. Work in coordination with production, quality, and engineering departments to meet production schedules, support maintenance shutdowns, and handle emergencies (tool breakdowns, urgent replacement). Support continuous improvement -- suggest tool upgrades or process improvements to reduce downtime, improve tool life, reduce production rejects.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?45,000.00 per month
