Job Description

Design & Development: Create and refine designs for press tools, molds, dies, and assembly fixtures using CAD software. Manufacturing Support: Ensure tools are produced and maintained to support prototype and mass production activities. Maintenance & Repair: Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance of tools and fixtures, managing spare parts and repair costs. Quality Assurance: Monitor tool performance and mold health, identifying and resolving issues to ensure product quality. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors for tooling and fixturing design, fabrication, and upkeep. Production Coordination: Collaborate with production teams and other departments to address tooling-related issues and ensure smooth operations. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of tool maintenance, repairs, and history for efficient management. Skills & Qualifications Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software for tool design and understanding of conventional and advanced machines (lathe, mill, grinder, EDM, Wire EDM). Design & Analysis: Ability to interpret technical drawings, perform feasibility studies, and understand complex assemblies and components. Maintenance Expertise: Practical experience in maintaining and repairing various types of tools and fixtures. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team. Educational Background: A degree in engineering or a related field is often preferred, or equivalent qualifications like HNC or BTec. Hiring for freshers and Tamil speaking candidates
