Role Summary :



A Tooling Engineer in Tooling plays a vital role in ensuring the reliable operation of Tooling. Their responsibilities include Design, RFQ comparison, inspecting, repairing and maintaining tooling components and system, as well as implementing preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

Responsibilities

:

Inspection of Tooling:



Tooling Engineers regularly inspect Tooling, equipment, and components for signs of wear, damage, or potential problem Incoming inspection of Curing Mold, Drilling Jig, and Checking fixture. Perform routine maintenance of tooling tasks like Curing Mold Plating, Drilling Jig rebushing, Checking Fixture calibration.

Troubleshooting and Repair:



Tooling issues arise, the root cause of the problem and perform necessary repairs or replacements of faulty components. Implement continuous improvement in Tooling.

Machine & Equipment Management



To minimize breakdown maintenance. Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of tooling.

Preventive Maintenance:



Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs, including scheduled inspections, Verifications, to minimize unplanned downtime and extend the life of equipment. Investigate non-conformities and lead corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)

Team Leadership & Training



Ensure the on time tool handover to production. Ensure all team members follow

work instructions


Documentation & Reporting



Maintain tooling logbooks and verification card Report key KPI's.

Key Skills & Competencies



Technical understanding of Drawings & Tooling CMM Strong leadership skills Interdepartmental communication & follow up for the concerns

Project Support:



They involved in the new tooling development, installation of new equipment or systems, modifications to existing ones, and upgrades to improve performance, efficiency or safety.

Documentation:



They maintain accurate records of tooling activities, including inspection reports, and tooling histories. They may also be involved in creating and updating technical documentation.

Supervision and Training:



In some cases, they may supervise other technicians or craftspeople involved in tooling maintenance and provide training on new equipment or procedures.

Collaboration:



They collaborate with other maintenance team members (e.g., mechanical engineers, technicians) and other departments (e.g., production HOD & engineers) to address cross-functional issues and ensure smooth operations.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
