Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the entire
Tool Room operations
, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production targets.
Plan, schedule, and monitor
manufacturing processes, tooling, and machining activities
to ensure timely delivery.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to
CNC programmers and machine operators
on HMC, VMC, and CNC machines.
Troubleshoot and resolve machining, tooling, and process-related problems effectively.
Oversee
tool design, maintenance, and repair
to ensure maximum efficiency and longevity.
Coordinate with the
production, maintenance, and quality departments
to maintain smooth plant operations.
Implement and sustain
process improvements
for productivity, cost optimization, and quality enhancement.
Ensure
preventive maintenance schedules
for all machines and tools are properly executed.
Manage and monitor
tool inventory, consumables, and spare parts
.
Supervise
labour and manpower allocation
, ensuring discipline, safety, and productivity on the shop floor.
Prepare daily and monthly reports on tool room activities and machine utilization.
Drive initiatives for
continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S implementation
.

Strong technical knowledge of
CNC / VMC / HMC operations
, tooling, and programming principles.
Expertise in
tool design, development, and maintenance

Proven leadership and
team management skills
with the ability to handle large teams independently.
Sound understanding of

Excellent

Familiarity with
CAD/CAM software
and CNC programming (Fanuc or equivalent).

Qualification:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die Making
Additional certification in CNC Programming or Tool Room Management (preferred)
Work Experience:
Minimum
15 years of experience
in Tool Room operations within a precision manufacturing or engineering environment.
Experience in managing
HMC, VMC, and CNC machines
and leading a mid-to-large-sized tool room team.
