Job Title:

Tool Room Designer - Injection Moulding

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced

Tool Room Designer

for our

Injection Moulding Manufacturing Unit

.
The ideal candidate should have

strong hands-on experience in plastic injection mould design

, along with the ability to

coordinate with tool room, production, and machining teams

to ensure smooth execution of moulds from design to trials.

Key Responsibilities:

Design

plastic injection moulds

as per product and production requirements Prepare

2D & 3D mould drawings

using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software Design mould components including

core, cavity, inserts, sliders, lifters, cooling & runner systems

Coordinate with

Tool Room Incharge, machinists, CNC/VMC operators

for manufacturing feasibility Support

mould trials, modifications, and troubleshooting

Implement design changes to improve

mould life, quality, and cycle time

Maintain

design documentation, revision history, and BOMs

Ensure designs meet

quality, safety, and production standards

Assist in cost optimization through

efficient mould design

Qualifications & Skills:Education:

ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making - Mandatory

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering - Preferred

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of

Injection Mould Design & Plastic Moulding Processes

Proficiency in

AutoCAD, SolidWorks (mandatory)

Understanding of

tool room machining processes

(CNC, VMC, lathe, milling, grinding) Knowledge of mould materials, heat treatment, polishing & fitting Ability to work closely with production & tool room teams

Soft Skills:

Good communication & coordination skills Problem-solving mindset Willingness to work long hours and support shop-floor activities Commitment to long-term association

Experience Required:

Minimum 4-7 years
