We are seeking a skilled

Tool Room - Tool & Die Technician

with strong expertise in precision machining, tool assembly, and tool quality inspection. The candidate should be proficient in reading

2D drawings

, operating

milling and surface grinding machines

, performing precision measurement, and working with various press tools.

Qualifications:

ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Mechanical, or related field 2-4 years of hands-on experience in

Tool Room / Tool & Die

operations Experience in manufacturing, automotive, press shop, or engineering industry preferred

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong ability to read and interpret

2D mechanical drawings

Expertise in

milling and surface grinding machines

Excellent knowledge of

precision measuring instruments

Hands-on experience with

press tools, jigs, and fixtures

Good understanding and practical application of

GD&T

Proficiency in

AutoCAD 2D drafting

Basic

MS Excel

knowledge for reporting and data entry Strong attention to detail and precision workmanship

Key Responsibilities:

Study and interpret

2D engineering drawings

accurately Operate

milling machines, surface grinding machines

, and other tool room equipment Perform

precision machining, fitting, and finishing

for tool and die components Carry out

Tool QC inspections

using all precision measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, slip gauge, etc.) Apply

GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

concepts during machining and inspection Prepare and assemble

press tools, jigs, fixtures, and dies

Perform tool maintenance, repair, and modification as required Use

AutoCAD 2D

for tool design updates, drafting, and documentation Prepare daily reports, maintain tool history records, and update Excel sheets Ensure adherence to quality standards, tolerances, and safety guidelines Coordinate with production, QC, and maintenance teams for smooth tool room operations
