ARPI Enterprises India Pvt Ltd is looking for an experienced

Tool Designer - Carbide Round Tools

to design and develop solid carbide cutting tools for precision machining applications. The role involves tool geometry design, performance optimization, and coordination with production and QC teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design solid carbide round tools such as end mills, drills, step tools, and special form tools

Develop and optimize tool geometry (helix angle, rake, clearance, corner radius, chamfer, edge prep)

Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing

Define GD&T, tolerances, and inspection requirements for tools

Work closely with production, grinding, coating, and QC teams

Support tool trials, performance evaluation, and failure analysis

Modify designs based on machining application and customer feedback

Ensure designs meet manufacturing feasibility and quality standards

Maintain design documentation and revision control

Skills & Requirements

Strong experience in carbide round tool design

Good knowledge of cutting tool materials, coatings (TiAlN, AlTiN, etc.), and applications

Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Creo or similar)

Sound understanding of GD&T and tool inspection methods

Familiarity with CNC tool grinding processes is an advantage

Ability to analyze machining problems and propose design solutions

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented with a quality-driven approach

Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills

Experience in tool room or cutting tool manufacturing industry preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?400,000.00 - ?900,000.00 per year
