We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer with strong expertise in press tool design. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in 3D modeling software (preferably UG NX 9.0) and a solid understanding of tooling concepts. The role involves designing press tools, preparing method plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality and timely design output.
Key Responsibilities
Design and draft press tools in UG NX as per inputs and customer standards.
Prepare 2D and 3D method plans for tool manufacturing.
Participate in cross-functional team (CFT) reviews to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
Complete design checklists, calculations, and adhere to best design practices.
Propose improvement ideas to reduce design time and enhance design quality.
Skills & Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Tooling (NTTF or equivalent preferred).
3 to 5 years of experience in press tool design; experience with panel tools is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of 3D modeling--solid and surface modeling using UG NX 9.0 (preferred).
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong understanding of tooling concepts, precision design, and manufacturing processes.
