Role purpose

• Within the scope of 3rd party manufacturing (tolling), the purpose of this role is to keep the Syngenta supply risk to a minimum at all times.
• Develop/Maintain a tolling supply base delivering production flexibility and reliability to accommodate market growth and volatility, business continuity and fixed/variable cost efficiencies.
• Coordinate and consult the different Syngenta functions on tolling and toller related topics; act as single key point of contact on managerial level.
• To lead the planning, technical resources and processes for a cluster or group of 3rd party manufacturing activities within the region to ensure high standards of supply performance and full compliance with HSEQ standards, regulatory, contractual and financial frameworks

Accountabilities

In support of the regional and global FPP strategy, business priorities and budget targets.

• Achieve Syngenta HSEQ targets and Compliance and manage overall risk assessment in assigned Tolling operations.
• Assure delivery of products from Tolling sites that meet Syngenta quality, customer service and cost requirements in line with agreed budgets and targets.
• Develop and regularly update regional / sub regional Tolling Strategy to complement regional and global Production needs.
• Develop and implement outsource siting options to support the regional or sub regional FPP strategy and commercial needs.
• Negotiate, jointly with Procurement Business Partner, adequate capacity and competitive tolling fees to meet Syngenta business requirements, aligned with Procurement policies.
• Establish Toller performance measures and drive and encourage continuous improvement with strategic/developmental tollers.
• Effective manage key stakeholders including Commercial leads, Supply Chain Managers and other senior P&S heads.
• Ensure compliance with procurement and transactional procedures, processes and guidelines.
• Ensure robust Quality Control and auditing programs are in place to manage residual impurity and product quality.
• Lead specific projects as agreed with the Regional CP FPP Manager to address supply, inventory, compliance issues and/or cost/capacity optimization.
• Mentor, coach and develop direct reports

Qualifications

Critical Education/ Skills /Knowledge expected for Job

• Chemical Engineering degree/ Masters Degree in Science, Post graduation is desirable
• Minimum 15+ years professional experience in a supply chain, core manufacturing, and or technical role.
• Working experience in a manufacturing environment
• understanding of formulation, fill & pack technology and processes
• Good grasp of 3rd party relationship management
• Good knowledge of HSE, Quality and Regulatory compliance frameworks
• Project Management / project execution
• Financial management \xe2\x80\x93 product costing, business case development and analysis
• Success in delivering continuous improvement in an environment of change
