OTC Settlements globally support the settlement functions of Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income Derivatives, Foreign Exchange and Commodity products. The teams are present in Baltimore, Glasgow, Mumbai and Tokyo.

In Tokyo, the team supports the Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income Derivatives and Equity Derivatives settlement with external Japan clients. We work with various teams within Operations, business counterparts, Treasury, Compliance and IT teams both locally and globally.

Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Maintain client relationships across Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income Derivatives, and Foreign Exchange settlements.
- Monitor for timely and accurate daily settlement confirmation.
- Verify post-settlement issues and discrepancies with clients and Sales and Trading desk.
- Collaborate with sales and trading desks to diminish risk through escalation and communication.
- Improve existing processes and reporting.
- Liaise daily with teammates and managers to provide client service, risk management, and superior Operational controls.
- Work as part of the Global Settlements Team to assist with the development and testing of internal system enhancements and implementation of global consistency.

Qualifications

- Good Japanese and English communication skills both oral and written are essential (requires dealing with local and global client and counterparts on a regular basis).
- Basic experience with settlements.
- Basic industry knowledge.
- Accountability for completion of day to day work.
- Well-rounded, methodical person with analytical skills.
- Ability and confidence to identify and raise risks/issues.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Task orientated and inquisitive in nature, required to ensure issues and processes are challenged.
- Self-motivated and have the ability to work consistently and efficiently to achieve goals as an individual and as part of a team.
