Job Summary
The TMT Technician is responsible for conducting Treadmill Tests (Exercise Stress Tests) under the supervision of a cardiologist to evaluate the functional capacity of the heart. The technician prepares patients, operates the TMT system, monitors cardiac parameters, and ensures accurate test data and patient safety during the procedure.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Duties
Prepare and perform Treadmill Exercise Tests (TMT/Stress Test) as per physician's order.
Set up and calibrate the TMT machine and connected ECG systems before each test.
Attach ECG electrodes and monitor patient's ECG, heart rate, and blood pressure throughout the procedure.
Record baseline, exercise, and recovery ECGs accurately.
Identify artefacts, abnormal ECG changes, or symptoms and alert the cardiologist immediately.
Assist in emergency management if the patient develops any adverse symptoms during the test.

2. Patient Care
Verify patient details and explain the TMT procedure clearly.
Assess patient readiness (e.g., fasting status, medication use, attire).
Ensure patient comfort, safety, and privacy during the test.
Monitor for fatigue, chest pain, shortness of breath, or dizziness during exercise.

3. Documentation & Reporting
Record test parameters, time, heart rate, BP readings, and ECG changes systematically.
Save and archive TMT results in the hospital's system or patient file.
Forward reports promptly to the cardiologist for interpretation and signature.

4. Equipment Maintenance
Ensure proper functioning and calibration of TMT machines and related ECG equipment.
Clean and maintain treadmill, ECG leads, BP cuffs, and electrodes after each test.
Report equipment issues to the biomedical department immediately.

Qualifications
Education:
Diploma / B.Sc. in Cardiac Technology, ECG Technology, or Allied Health Sciences.
Specialized training in Treadmill Test operation preferred.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in cardiac diagnostics or related field.

Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, ECG interpretation, and stress testing protocols.
Skilled in patient monitoring and handling during exercise tests.
Familiarity with cardiac emergency management (BLS/ACLS preferred).
Attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment
Cardiology diagnostic lab or cardiac unit.
Requires standing for extended periods and handling emergency situations.
May involve rotational shifts, including weekends and on-call duties.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹19,326.25 per month
