Role
As the Plant SQA Category Engineer Engine you will be a part of the Supplier Quality team and will be reporting to the Functional Reporting Plant SQA Group Lead Engine.
The Purpose of your role includes Ensuring adherence to quality standards & system of engine category components by evaluation & improvement of the product & process quality at supplier end to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
A purpose driven role for you
Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Ensure inspection of incoming parts as per plan (BOP, Spare parts etc.)
• MIS/Report generation
• Ensure closure of issues/deviations
• Ensure Quality Sustenance & Improve Existing supplier/ components through
• Audits/QAVs and gap closure
• Warranty analysis
• Benchmarking of Best Practices to deploy horizontally
• Ensure Product, Process & System approval and establishment for smooth and trouble free development within stipulated time during New Model development.

A Day in the life
On a day-to-day basis you will be you will be coordinating with external and internal teams such as Marketing, GB, SAS, Market Quality,SS&SC,Auditing Agencies etc to improve part quality,resolve customer related issues,ensure part development and much more.
Academic Qualification & Experience

• Graduation/Diploma in Engineering
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in manufacturing, and 2-3 years in an automotive firm

Technical Skills/Knowledge

• Product (especially engine) process & systems knowledge (especially machining/casting /forging heat treatment/moulding)
• Quality Planning
• Problem Solving
• Audit competence
