Role Purpose

The TLVA Survey Engineer is responsible for conducting Top Load Visual Assessment (TLVA) surveys on telecom towers and related infrastructure to evaluate structural integrity, loading conditions, and compliance with applicable standards. The role supports safe operation, upgrade planning, and documentation for telecom and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct TLVA surveys of telecom towers, rooftops, poles, and associated structures. Visually inspect structural members, foundations, mounts, ladders, platforms, and safety systems. Assess existing and proposed loading conditions, including antennas, RRUs, cables, and accessories. Identify visible defects, corrosion, deformation, missing members, and safety non-compliances. Capture accurate site data, measurements, and high-quality photographs as per survey checklists. Prepare clear TLVA reports with observations, risk categorization, and recommendations. Coordinate with design, operations, and project teams for clarifications and site access. Ensure adherence to safety procedures, PPE usage, and work-at-height guidelines. Maintain survey records, drawings, and documentation in line with company standards. Support audits, client queries, and revisions based on feedback.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Understanding of telecom tower types (GSM, RTT, rooftop, monopole, poles). Familiarity with TLVA methodology, load assessment basics, and structural components. Knowledge of telecom equipment (antennas, mounts, RRUs, feeders, OFC, MW). Ability to read basic drawings, layouts, and site sketches. Proficiency in MS Excel/Word and basic reporting tools.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. TLVA training or certification (preferred).

Experience

1-5 years of experience in telecom survey, tower inspection, or structural field work.

Behavioral Competencies

Strong attention to detail and observation skills. Clear written and verbal communication. Ability to work independently at sites and meet timelines. High safety awareness and disciplined work approach.

Work Conditions

Extensive field travel and site visits. Work at heights and in outdoor conditions as per project requirements.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
