Advise management on the latest EHS legal updates, statutory requirements, and compliance obligations. - Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs aligned with statutory and company standards. - Conduct plant EHS audits, identify gaps, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. - Assess adequacy of EHS controls and recommend system improvements. - Lead plant risk assessments, incident investigations, and environmental aspects- impact studies; mitigate critical risks in collaboration with plant managers. - Drive initiatives for workplace safety, accident prevention, waste management, and sustainability practices. - Champion ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management system requirements. - Conduct employee training, awareness sessions, and emergency preparedness drills. - Lead safety committees and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and best practices. - Monitor usage, availability, and maintenance of PPE. - Prepare documentation and compliance reports for regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders. - Promote and embed a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement at all organizational levels.
