responsible for performing high-quality Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding on metal components as per drawings and specifications, ensuring strength, accuracy, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, and alloy metals
Read and interpret engineering drawings, WPS, and welding symbols
Set up welding equipment, select electrodes, filler rods, and shielding gas
Ensure weld quality, penetration, and finish as per specifications
Inspect welded joints and rectify defects such as cracks, porosity, or distortion
Carry out grinding, finishing, and polishing of welds if required
Follow safety procedures and PPE guidelines at all times
Maintain welding tools, machines, and work area (5S)
Coordinate with fabrication and quality teams for inspections
Meet daily production targets and timelines
Qualification
ITI / Certification in Welding or relevant trade
Experience
1 to 5 years of experience as a TIG Welder
Experience in fabrication / manufacturing industry preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of TIG welding techniques
Experience with thin and precision welding jobs
Understanding of welding defects and corrective actions
Ability to use measuring tools and gauges
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
