is responsible for preparing, updating, and managing real-time news tickers that appear on the TV screen. This role requires accuracy, speed, and awareness of current news to ensure timely and error-free information dissemination to viewers.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor news wires, agencies, and internal sources for breaking news updates.
Write concise and grammatically correct ticker lines for on-air broadcast.
Update tickers in real time during live bulletins and breaking news situations.
Coordinate with Input, Output, and Assignment teams to verify facts before publishing.
Maintain consistency in ticker format, speed, and presentation style.
Ensure no factual, spelling, or grammatical errors appear on screen.
Assist the output producer in prioritizing news items for ticker display.
Support the digital and web teams with short headline content when required.
Requirements:
Graduate or Postgraduate in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.
0-2 years of experience in newsroom or ticker operations (freshers with good language command can also apply).
Strong command of Hindi and English (typing in both languages preferred).
Excellent general awareness and knowledge of current affairs.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Flexible for rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
