Job Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during operations by preparing and handling instruments, sutures, and supplies. Maintain a sterile environment in the operation theatre (OT). Ensure surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and arranged before procedures. Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team during operations. Maintain accurate records of instruments, sponges, and supplies before, during, and after surgery. Collaborate with doctors, anesthetists, and OT staff for smooth surgical procedures. Follow hospital policies, infection control protocols, and patient safety standards.

Requirements

Nursing qualification (GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Diploma in Nursing). Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Scrub Nurse in a multispeciality hospital. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and OT procedures. Ability to remain calm and attentive in high-pressure surgical situations. Good communication and teamwork skills.
