The Senior Planning Manager / Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of all structural steel fabrication and erection activities across projects. The role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on planning expertise, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve constraints impacting project schedules. The incumbent will ensure adherence to approved plans on a day-to-day basis and support project teams in achieving timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1.? ?Planning & Scheduling, Develop detailed project schedules for structural steel fabrication, painting, dispatch, and site erection activities.
2.? ?Prepare baseline schedules, resource-loaded schedules, and look-ahead plans in line with project requirements.
3.? ?Integrate engineering, procurement, fabrication, and erection schedules into a master project plan.
4.? ?Define planning logic, milestones, and critical paths for multiple concurrent projects.
5.? ?Monitoring & Control: Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress against approved plans and schedules.
6.? ?Track fabrication outputs, erection progress, manpower deployment, and equipment utilization.
7.? ?Identify schedule slippages and conduct delay analysis, including root cause identification.
8.? ?Propose and implement corrective and preventive actions to recover delays.
9.? ?Coordination & Problem Solving: Coordinate closely with design, procurement, fabrication shop, QA/QC, logistics, and site erection teams.
10.? ?Identify and resolve planning hindrances such as drawing delays, material shortages, manpower constraints, or site-related issues.
11.? ?Support project teams with planning inputs to optimize productivity and sequencing of activities.
12.? ?Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and MIS.
13.? ?Develop and manage standard reporting formats, progress charts, S-curves, and productivity reports.
14.? ?Prepare and track approval formats related to structural steel activities (fabrication, welding, painting, inspection, erection, etc.).
15.? ?Present progress updates and recovery plans to senior management and clients.
? Requirements
1.? ?Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
2.? ?Excellent command over project planning and scheduling techniques.
3.? ?Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
4.? ?Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
?Good to Have
Certification or formal training in Project Planning / Project Management is an added advantage.
?Qualification
Bachelor's degree Mechanical (or equivalent).
?Experience
Approximately 12+ years in planning roles related to structural steel fabrication and erection projects

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
