Role:

TGT/PGT English Teacher

Role Definition:

The English Language Teacher is responsible for developing students' language proficiency, communication skills, and literary understanding at the middle and secondary school levels. The role focuses on effective curriculum delivery, learner-centered pedagogy, continuous assessment, and fostering critical thinking, creativity, and cultural appreciation in alignment with CBSE standards and the school's academic vision.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (BA / B.E.) in the relevant subject or discipline. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) - Mandatory. Eligibility as per CBSE norms for TGT/PGT Teachers. Strong subject knowledge and proficiency in the respective language. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and assessment practices. Basic computer skills for lesson planning, assessments, and academic reporting.

Tasks & Activities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English as per the CBSE curriculum and academic calendar. Develop students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing (LSRW) skills through structured and interactive teaching methods. Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes. Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance, and maintain accurate academic records. Use age-appropriate teaching strategies, including storytelling, debates, role-plays, presentations, and creative writing. Encourage reading habits, vocabulary development, and appreciation of literature and language culture. Identify learning gaps and provide remedial instruction and academic support where required. Prepare students for internal assessments, examinations, and board-aligned evaluations. Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Integrate technology and teaching aids to enhance language learning experiences. Participate in curriculum planning, academic meetings, and professional development programs. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure interdisciplinary learning and academic consistency. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and academic concerns. Assist in organizing literary activities such as debates, elocution, storytelling, assemblies, and language clubs. Uphold school policies, CBSE norms, and ethical teaching standards.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
