Job Description

The TGT/PGT English Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality English instruction aligned with the prescribed curriculum. The teacher fosters language proficiency, critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills among students while contributing positively to the school's academic environment.

Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons as per curriculum guidelines (CBSE/ICSE/State Board). Teach literature, grammar, writing skills, comprehension, and spoken English effectively. Use innovative teaching methods, ICT tools, and activity-based learning to enhance student engagement. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Assessment & Evaluation

Design and conduct formative and summative assessments. Evaluate assignments, projects, and examinations in a timely manner. Maintain accurate academic records and provide constructive feedback. Prepare students for internal assessments and board examinations (especially for PGT).
Classroom Management

Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment. Encourage student participation, critical thinking, and independent learning.
Curriculum & Professional Duties

Participate in curriculum planning, lesson design, and academic meetings. Contribute to school activities, assemblies, clubs, and literary events. Collaborate with colleagues and support school initiatives. Engage in professional development programs and workshops.
Parent & Student Interaction

Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress. Participate in parent-teacher meetings and counseling sessions.
Qualifications For TGT (English)

Bachelor's Degree in English (B.A.) B.Ed. (mandatory as per norms) CTET / State TET qualification .
For PGT (English)

Master's Degree in English (M.A.) B.Ed. (mandatory as per norms) Experience in teaching senior secondary classes preferred
Skills & Competencies

Excellent command of spoken and written English Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to integrate technology in teaching Student-centric and innovative teaching approach Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Experience

TGT:

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant teaching experience preferred

PGT:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience, preferably with board classes
